February 14th, 2012The Montessori Children’s Centre will be represented at the Parent Expo/Pre-School Fair to be held this Saturday, February 18, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 801 South Madison Street, Bloomington, Illinois.
Parents and caregivers of children from birth to age 12 are invited. Â Attend as many of the free parent education sessions as you like and check out over 65 pre-schools and child care centers to get information about their programs. Â There is no cost for this event and a free lunch will be provided for those attending the last session.
A sample of topic available are: “Bully-Proofing my Child,” “Love and Logic.” Parent’s Right to Say NO,” “Early Literacy,” and many more!

“Putt with the Prose”
February 6th, 2012This Sunday, February 12, the Montessori Children’s Centre is proud to be one of the sponsors at the Bloomington Library’s 3rd Annual “Putt with the Prose.” Â This event is a fundraiser to purchase eBooks for the Children’s Department and, for $5 per person, golfers of all ages are welcome to play a round of Miniature Golf INSIDE the Library from 1 – 5 p.m. Â Door prizes will be given away throughout the event and discounted pre-sale tickets will be on sale at the Library for $4 each through February 11.

Montessori Holiday Program

Sunday Dec. 11th, 1:00 p.m. at Normal Community High School Auditorium (3900 E. Raab Rd., Normal)
Directions: (From Montessori) Take Airport Rd. North to Raab Rd. Turn East on Raab Rd. NCHS is on the left. Parking is on the far East side of the school, last parking lot to turn left into…this will be closest to the auditorium.
* Please have your child there by 12:45 (making sure that they have used the bathroom first!). When you enter the auditorium, please hand your child over to us quickly or they may never come on stage. If they cry, we will assure them that you are close and watching but they will need to stay together with the class.
* In addition to our parents, grandparents, family and friends are welcome to attend the Montessori Holiday Program! The children have been practicing so diligently and enthusiastically for the past few weeks. This is such a special day for all the children (parents, family and friends too!).
